Baby Alligator Hatching & Squeaking For Mommy

Ellen Meets A Baby Kangaroo

Ten Things About Stephen Colbert

Thought you'd enjoy this. I try to keep the posts short because I know you have the patience of a farm animal when it comes to the internet. I couldn't let this one get by you. The picture I found on flickr.com and the article was on digg.com. You may find it interesting.

Oprah Helps You Find a Man

Oprah is hitting home runs with her shows this week. I've been tivoing them. I love her because she inspires me. Her topics this week: Best Places to Find Men Over 35 (you're getting there), Oprah's Dog Training, Living Green, and Getting Rid Of Clutter (I hate me some clutter). She has three white Golden Retriever puppies and had a trainer come and work with them. I don't really want to get into aiding and abetting you with finding creepy old men but Oprah's got you covered. All the women were screaming and hooting on the finding men show. I guess they were all single women in the audience. Yuck. But I thought I'd let you know that Oprah is trying to find you men. Check her website for more information.

Baby Alligators

Alligators are super cool. They're prehistoric animals that have survived millions of years. The alligator has gotten a bad rap because they're so scary looking (and bite people). As soon at the babies hatch they cry out to mommy. The mommy finds them, picks up their eggs, and brings them to a nursery and gently help them out of their eggs. In the past when people saw alligators putting eggs in their mouth they thought they ate their young but later found were carrying them gently to them to safety. Babies cry out for mommy by making a cute squeaking sound. It's really neat to see the babies crawling and swimming around mommy while squeaking (just like puppies or kittens). Alligators are really amazing.

Doggie Trap

Last fall I realized when I put out the lawn garbage that dogs can't resist bags of leaves. Every barkie that walks by has to smell and jump on the leaf bags. I met a really nice Husky puppy that joyously attacked the leaf bags last fall. Well, it's spring and I just cleaned up the dead lawn garbage and made my doggie trap. They can't resist. Every single dog that walks by stops and sniffs (and sometimes pees on) the leaf bags down by the curb. So if you want to attract dogs or get them to stop in front of your house put out some bags of leaves.

Yahoo! Answers

This is one of the coolest Yahoo services. Try it out. I asked real questions and people gave me real answers. Since you've got a yahoo account already just type in a question. I have an idea for a question if you can't think of one. "Do men like the butterfingers?" But if you ask questions people will answer you right away. Ask about anything... and be serious. Also, you can answer other people's questions.

Boston Terrier Puppy

Plenty of pictures of Boston Puppy. Remember: Don't read the dumb little blurb because I think they're fake. There is no way this guy gets people to send in such good pictures of their puppies. I'm sure the guy finds people's puppy pictures on flickr.com and crops them to look better. People just don't take that many good pictures... and they don't email them into a website. It's my conspiracy theory but I'm 99% sure I'm right. Not that it matters because they're just cute puppies. Ignore people's hands, backgrounds, and assumptions about yucky furniture, floors, or blankets. Just look at the puppy not the periphery.

Adam Carolla Does Howard Stern

Mr. Carolla was on Howard Stern this morning. He talked about his life before Loveline and being a boxing coach. Howard read his year by year money earnings from his Social Security statement. Surprisingly there were years where Adam Carolla didn't make any money and he was almost 30 years old. See his earnings year by year on his Wikipedia page. He joked about his new co-host Danny Bonaduce being a crazy dude who does pull ups while smoking, wearing skin tight jeans and cowboy boots.

John Cusack In The Rain

DVD of the Year: Planet Earth

I know you think I'm nuts and stupid but this is the best DVD I've seen all year. It just came out on HD DVD and I have to watch it on a computer montitor through my XBOX 360 HD add on since I don't have an HD TV (and won't spend more than $500 on a TV) and blah, blah, blah. It's the most amazing thing I've seen since my all time favorite DVD set "The Life Of Mammals". It's by the same people that did TLOM but it's about the Planet Earth. Each show shows a type of geography and the animals that live there. In the first two shows they had Polar Bears (and babies), Grizzly Bears (and babies), Panda Bear (and baby), along with super rare russian wildcats, Snow Leopards, and many others. It's jaw droppingly amazing. I know trying to get you to watch a documentary about about nature is like trying to get you to like John Lennon but I have to at least mention it. Imagine the most amazing cinematography you've ever seen and times that by ten and then add 100. It's all real. These are real animals that actually live... but they're so different than humans, so alien. They show Tibet, Snow Leopards in mountains in India while it's snowing, wolves hunting, dogs hunting in Africa, penguins, bears, birds of pardise, and that's just in the first two shows. It's all in HD. Amazing. Every living human should see these shows to make their life happier and see things they'd never be able to see without spending $20,000 to go into a helicopter and pay for a wildlife guide. It would be a sin if I didn't tell you about these shows. It's also available on regular DVD.

Tai Shan's Stay Extended at The National Zoo

Hello Widdle Baby (talking to the panda)! What joy these furries bring to me. He's on a commercial on the Animal Planet when he was a shivering baby and every time I see him it makes me tear up and smile. Who thought anything could be as amazing and beautiful as a widdle baby panda? Here's a nice little slide show celebrating the growth of a miracle cutie baby.

The Man in Black... John Cusack

I think we had this conversation at one point. I think John Cusack has it written in his contracts that he has to be wearing black clothing (and perhaps a black coat of some sort) and be in a scene where he's in the rain. I don't know if this movie has him crying in the rain in a telephone booth... but he is wearing black (and sunglasses).

Don't Tinker With My Stinker

To add to your research... The guys on Howard Stern were talking about playing with the butt hole. Artie Lange got grossed out enough to state, "If you get near my asshole I'd knock you out!". They got into the "fear of being gay" issue, etc... and said it had nothing to do with gayness but was just disgusting and gross. Nobody wanted anyone's finger or anything else near or in their "brown eye". Just more proof of my statement that guys don't like the butterfingers.

Friendship Blog

Hello S,
I came up with the idea of making a friendship blog. That sounds kinda dumb but the idea was to post ideas and things I'm thinking about or putting my S notes down somewhere I can find them. I'm just posting stuff I think you'd like or things we've talked about. This way I can get my notes from anywhere. It's just as easy to post an item as it is to send an email. I'll still email but the extended links and pictures I'll just put up here. I'll also leave everything anonymous so my screen name is Giant Pangolin which just happens to be the Animal of the Week. Just think of it as a personalized online magazine with little articles and links to interesting things.

Giant Pangolin Baby

Super Cool Animal
What a cutie! Check out this amazing animal. You really need to see one moving to appreciate it. It's like a mix between an armadillo and an anteater. It's super cool to see it walking.
